Ruding & Wood is a continuation of a family business. In 1941 Harry S.Ruding opened a cabinet making and refinishing shop in Ocean Grove New Jersey. Charley Wood and his son Dennis began C.H. Wood & Son in 1946 offering carpentry and general woodworking. Following his marriage to Margaret, Charley's daughter, Harry, Charley and Dennis collaborated on many wood working projects throughout their professional careers.

Carrying on the tradition, and now at the helm, is Greg Goldman. His 20 year business relationship with Ruding & Wood and his varied career in design, antiques, and restorations set a perfect foundation to carry on the legacy of this firm.
